So I never ended up gelling up or breaking down, fueled up at kwik trip and ran from Racine to morris IL then from morris up to Janesville on 80 to 39/90... literally every quarter mile a truck on the shoulder with a orange tag on the bumper... never in my life have I seen anything like it in my life, although I don’t run OTR.... like a natural disaster

Kwik Trip/Star (in iowa) sells premium diesel winterized to -35, before this cold snap, both hoses said winterized at an outlet I stopped at. The premium is sometimes up to 4 cents more per gallon sometimes the same price.

When it’s that cold I throw a few moving blankets over the engine and fuel tanks. Never had an issue the next day. Just remember to remove them before starting the truck.
