Your right.... let's just all give up and kill our selves...

You can find trucking jobs, but like anything in this world you have to apply yourself unless you are the type that just lays around waiting on someone to give you something. I am almost 50 I left home when I was 16 I have worked full time all this time. Never been laid off or fired. I never have a problem getting a job. I have worked job's I didn't like, but I am not afraid to take something to provide or just lay around waiting on someone to help me either.

Huh????? What the crap is that all about? There are other industries that are hiring right now besides trucking. Too many of the trucking companies that are hiring just want students so they can pay them 24 cents a mile instead of a decent wage. You are scaring me monkeyman!!!!

You need to read back a few posts..

First I'm going to answer the question of the thread. Nope I never regret anything that I put my mind too. I enjoy every minute and it just since the beginning of the month has gotten more enjoyable. Partner in crime is back....freight isn't slowing down in our fair world.
Guess that makes me delusional with NoTarps....
That's okay he seems to be pretty good company to me.
notarps4me Thanks this. -
Obviously never sold vacuum cleaners either.
FYI, since I was laid off in Feb 2008, I attended classes and got my license to sell life and health insurance. I've made some money but I can't make a living at that either. If people don't have jobs how are they going to pay for insurance? Going door to door selling is very depressing, I know, I've done it. Try it yourself before advising someone else to do it.rakusa Thanks this. -
First- "You need to give that Insurance "Gig" .. A LOT more time.... It takes three to five years too make the "Big Money"........
Therefore, In my weak opinion I, also wish to apologize for what I, said about "Regretting what I,said, said .... You know what mean,..said.
I had a sales job marketing new Inventions ,and Ideas once..... I don't think, that was nearly as hard, as Door-to-Door sales.
My Apologies

I agree and have read enough here to know how lucky I was to be able to start with a second tier company. I also believe to some extent you make your own luck. My prior job taught me how to communicate with all types of people. I worked with the children of CEO's of major corporations, doctors, lawyers, heroin addicts, single mothers, you name it. Learning to communicate what you have to offer to a company is the main thing you need to do to get hired.
My prior job I often worked 7-8 weeks at a time without a day off. My checks were always the same amount being salaried. Now if I do that my checks would be a lot bigger. It makes it feel worthwhile. Plus now I work part time for the same team I used to be head coach of as an hourly assistant. Whenever I want to I call them up and they let me work with a few kids. I run underwater video for them and pick up some extra money editing the clips on my computer out on the road.Tran Man Thanks this. -
hey there fellow truckers!!! I hope that all is good with you and your families. I need some IMMEDIATE advice on my huge problem. Please take it easy on me , because I am already suffering the consequences of my extreme foolishness. I decided to take a couple of puffs on one of those "strange" cigarettes, three days before I got called for a random. Yep, they got me. You talking about feeling SO STUPID!!!!! Now, its a race against time, finding a decent job, before that info hits the "BIG" report. 19 yrs. exp., clean record, team and solo driving, and I even grossed 62K last year. To top all that,I just got custody of my young teenager!!! So now I am hoping to find a regional or home weekly position. Havent worked in a month and now my mind is really playing tricks on me!! Crazy, I mean CRAZY thoughts!! Any GOOD advice!! Oh, I can easily pass a P-test now. signed: Darn FOOL!!!
