Well........you did not have to do that! You are allowed "reasonable access from the Interstate System" so the local length laws don't necessarily apply! I ran NYC 5 boros most of my career. As long as you were taking a truck route to your consignee you are okay. Plus the ticket would have been cheaper than the repair!
Why didn't you stop and get out and look when all the crunching sounds started????? I'm puzzled........

He’s in CA, without knowing the town I’m going to venture a guess that he was either up in the mountains or out along the coast and had to travel on a highway that is restricted to 65ft. overall length.

 

Put raise/lowering valves on both truck and trailer.
Having only dumpvalves limits your options to much.

 

How'd you make out driver.I hope your going after the guy that sold you the truck, maybe some kind of lemon law or failure to disclose,I mean I've been looking at the photos and they really did a s//!+ job, I can see where they ground the welds all the way down the frame.
