Yeah, wasn't it like $119 for 3 months if you paid quarterly? Then they did away with the quarterly discount shortly after the original owner sold his shares & raised the monthly fees.

I really don’t understand when I see these complaints about CD’s price.

Yes, it now costs more than it did when I first started using it in 2008 but if you really analyze it..... brokers make more than $129 on one single move; same with carriers.

Is the price of one single unit not worth having the option of using this system throughout the month?

For me, the price is worth it. To each their own though.

Also, I think a lot of people underestimate just how much a good developer’s salary actually is. I don’t know how many developers Central Dispatch employs but I would imagine for a system automated this well, it is probably a decent sized team.

Price increases suck but in this case, I think the return on investment is worth it.

Also limited to 30 posts a month. Go over and you are locked out until you buy another 30 posts. I am fed up and tired of seeing prices like this. If every car I posted was a sale it would be no big deal but you wouldn't believe how many (signed contract) customers I get that I cannot find a truck to move the vehicle. A TON. Customers cancel, no sale. And it's not just me as I have other brokers contacts reporting the same thing. Central seems fixated on $$$$ and I knew that when years ago they started contacting all the dealers inviting them to join central. Now most dealerships are doing their own shipments and even the tiny dealerships are doing this. I don't know but I see this as just another nail in the coffin. Rising fees and Uship really making me look to a new business or job.

What ?????? . Customer pays enough - I move vehicle. Customer doesn't pay enough - I don't move vehicle . Have customer pay fair price and you wouldn't have to purchase another 30 posts . Pretty simple to me .

If I had a nickel for every customer who needs to ship a super-duty pickup from alabama to Montana I'd be rich. I always try to post for decent pay. Sometimes i actually overpay. If the route is difficult the customers jump ship when I cannot find a driver. That simple.

No, the ONLY reason you can't find a taker for a load is you DON'T PAY ENOUGH. No one is going to take that supper-duty for 50 cents a mile, try a dollar a mile next time.

Guarantee you’re posting lowball rates if you can’t find trucks. Guarantee it. Moving these cars by posting on Central Dispatch is easy money if you’re actually charging the customer enough to pay the carrier a fair rate.

Tip: When you quote a customer, always use the ‘check price’ feature on Central Dispatch and always quote the customer higher than the previously highest listed price. Easy way to know you’ll be able to find a carrier. If you post a car higher than any of the other cars that were previously moved, you’ll help push the rates up and you’ll easily be able to move the car. Win-win situation.

Yeah, but he wants to keep the most profit for himself so he posts lowball rates then increase $5 at a time ;-)
