Hello fellow members, so i decided to leave my previous company a while back and get my own numbers but now insurance companies, last time i spoke to them was 6/7 months ago, are saying they cant give it to me since i need 3 and 4yrs experience(i have 2)! I tried OOIDA, Progressive, National, and like 4 or 5 other companies and they seem to want 3yrs. Anyone got companies that will give me insurance? i live in California(I know I know, save it for another time lol) , 2yrs experience, will be pulling step deck, no tickets besides 1 speeding ticket in my personal vehicle, no wrecks or accidents, or claims, safe driver overall. Thank you

I recommend becoming a NASTC member and they have insurance services. If you don’t do that, your best option is to find an insurance broker that can shop you around and find you a policy. Being based in California, it’s not going to be cheap.

How long ago was the speeding ticket and how bad is it? It doesn’t matter that it wasn’t in a truck. And I’ll second NASTC, they’re a great resource.

That's strange. I've seen plenty of O/O's fresh out of school get Insurance for about 20k a year.

Long FLD- Its gonna be 1 year next month or two, and it wasnt that bad, high 40 something in a 35. Ok cool, ive completely filled them out and will send NASTC their forms, hopefully we can work something out! im getting bored at home! lol
Midnight_Tim- I wanna say thats sarcasm but im not sure lol. Either way ive met a couple who went straight to lease and owner ops straight out of training. Maybe they were just freshening up on driving again since its been a while.

The dollar value may be anecdotal asI didn't personally see the bill but they were able to get insurance right away.
