Didn't know that they still badged Sprinters as a Freightliner . I had 2 - 2006's . Ran good but again , HIGH maintenance .
-
LOL I put that picture up for whomever asked what a sprinter was.
How ever, The first time you run up against the log you will wish you had an unregulated truck.
Imo the only way to make money in a straight truck is in specialized freight. So that would mean an International presence.
I did the sprinter thing for a couple years, after years in a TT, and the freedom from regs was wonderful but living out of the back was ok but not ideal Maybe if you could get multiple shipments and make a route out of it.
Maybe look at courier work but that is becoming saturated with fly by nights now.
Just ramblingBrokecanadian Thanks this. -
Good point. I guess "expedite" for a solo would be short runs. Running out of hours doesn't work
-
Logs suck. Logging while expediting REALLY sucks !! First hand experience .
Brokecanadian Thanks this. -
No idea how to even start. I'd just get an eld and do what it told me
-
Old enough truck , pre 2000 model and elogs are not required
-
Try don't badge sprinters as a dodge either since 2010 I believe.
Daimler Benz and Dodge/Freightliner split then I think. -
Right now in the USA that is true but I have heard rumblings that Canada is thinking 1995 as the benchmark.
I have also heard of the US imposing some kind of penalty for not using electronic log or pollution controlled engines,
JUst rumours at this point but still.Last edited: Feb 6, 2019
