whats an update on this? all these morons in the past talking about the cost of driving faster..... its simple math. you get 11 hrs of driving and if you can only go 60 thats only so many miles a day now especially with ELD.... i wanna do 80 when the limit is 75 and i dont give a rats ### what it costs if I am a company driver thats paid by the mile. Common sense. What companies give a competitive per mile rate while not governing miles? Simple question I don’t need a lecture from you know it alls out there.

I drive for MC Van Kampen- our trucks are governed at 75 & we are expected to run that in the states where its legal to do so. Love this company.

The idea that you wanna drive 80 in a 75 state tells me you will have to be governed at 75 in a 75 state. Or slower. You will prefer to burn more of the unnecessary fuel that is already being burnt quite a bit to maintain your selfish need for 80 in a 75 state.
