I did tip the guy who installed my Internet service.
I am delivering heavy freight on a liftgate and most of these homes are on a hill. That deserves a tip.

And as to whether you delivering that freight from a lift gate up a hill “deserves” a tip, that’s a matter of opinion.
I’ve delivered heavy objects up a steep gravel driveway on a hand truck because a pallet jack doesn’t work in gravel, and I had to stop and get a breather halfway up. I had a middle aged woman out in the country getting a new generator delivered, and I used plywood she happened to have, leapfrogging the sheets, to get the generator into her shed across a lawn. I did my job, no tip expected. -
Maybe I am being too much of a nice guy. Maybe when I deliver a 1000 pound pallet that is 6 feet long on a 4 foot long lift gate I should just drop it on their driveway next to the street and say sorry this is curbside delivery.

If not getting tips at resi’s bothers you this much, then get a job where they don’t do resi’s.Texas_hwy_287 and buddyd157 Thank this. -
Jreding, that lady should have tipped you for that. That is making a lot of extra effort. Yes you should have expected a tip.

I really don't want to be the ####### who says curbside delivery only. Too bad that you can't get this into your garage.

I understand how you want to help out. But I would appreciate even a $5 tip just to make the extra effort to help them out.
