NO it isn't your vocabulary that is getting in the way.

    Got that. BUT ...

    Here is the problem.

This idea is where you are losing all of us.

Not to bash you but you are clueless to basic business concepts, it isn't with this idea, it is with the lack of understanding how business works.

Yeah I get that, I know many brokers personally, had dinner with one last night, and know a lot of companies with O/O fleets. BUT ... YOU are missing it.

BUT see here is the thing, unless you use a business model close to what I am using, you can't LEGALLY do a 1099 for your drivers. They have to be employees, nothing less.

See here is what I am running into, I read your idea as this 'screw the driver' even if you are doing this with good intentions, it is that simple.

In my business, profit is last on my list of things I worry about, the first is making the payments for the truck, the second is the driver's pay.

    So ... that's what I am seeing.

I suppose i see what you are saying. When i have everything ready clear cut and overlooked by others to make sure it is all ready to go, then ill have a working business model, whether its something im piecing together or it turns out to be like your business model. It doesnt matter to me how the business model is just as long as everything is in order, strong work ethic is maintained, and a presentation of estimated profits can be shown before hand.

Hello all. 27. If an employee gets into an accident, would insurance price raise for the whole company or just for the employee. I mean, when the insurance price increases, will firing that employee (if firing applies) lower insurance cost back to lower prices?

You insurance covers the fleet, not the driver.

Most likely you will not work with your insurance underwriter to mitigate these issues to save money so it will be an increase in premiums.
