Yup. I am fortunate that I already like a fair amount of following distance when I drive, so it hasn't been a huge adjustment. Sometimes the thing disagrees with me on how close I need to be to the vehicle in front of me, but for the most part I keep it quiet. It's annoying, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Well today I'm at the Wytheville terminal waiting to see where they send me. I start home time in 5 days and last night I got into a 0.6 minutes violation.

I am, for the first time, experiencing the warm hospitality of the Vince Lombardi travel center on the New Jersey Turnpike. I have managed to avoid it thus far, but a late delivery last night to Long Island coupled with a pre-plan for today necessitated that I make it back through NYC at night when the traffic was lighter rather than wait until morning rush hour to do so.

Almost backfired, though. Major road construction closed two lanes at three points leading up to the GWB, and there was a massive traffic backup despite being 11:00pm. Original plan was to make it to the Petro in Bordentown where I had reserved a parking space. Ended up coasting into Vince Lombardi with my HOS running on fumes.

This place is a dump, btw. Trash ALL over the parking lot. Trucks parked every which way. Can't say I recommend it.

For the curious, btw, the 2019 KWs have a 12-speed transmission. Whereas the 2017 KWs had a 10-speed.

It loses some of the zip and pulling power the 10-speed had, but it loses most of the "lurch" when trying to ease backwards into a spot.

Be expecting a call from our new Driver Development Manager... :D

Oh, and get off that Yard before they close it tomorrow... I am hoping it’s to fix the driveway... I almost lost a steer tire in that failing culvert the last time I pulled in there to meet JB.

    Silverdriver Thanks this.

So a couple quick questions for our Volvo Drivers out here...

Im trying to connect my phone to the truck so as to “be safer” out here on the roads... but it says “BT Disabled”... so we can’t connect our phones to use the Trucks Hands Free Options?

Also, radio has both Front and Rear Aux... I can get the Front to work just fine but not finding a physical Aux cable to connect to the Rear... I see the one for the TV, but that seems to go only to the little speaker in the bunk by the controls... and not even as loud as the speakers on my TV.

    Am I missing something obvious?

Anybody know how much a day of breakdown pays?
