Oh, that must be why. He crashed the KW and got demoted to the Cascadia. Makes sense now.
-
Does jct have both thermoking and carrier reefers? Is there a difference? I only have experience with thermoking
-
Yes they have both. They both perform pretty equally solid. I would say the Carrier on Start/Stop will sound like the loudest dying cat you ever done heard though lol-- just when you're drifting off to deep REM sleep it starts howling.Jarhed1964 and mdmgolfin Thank this.
-
Yep...like scottied said, we have both. But, the TK units are being phased out with brand new Carrier units. Pretty much any 7000 series trailer that comes through the Fort Worth yard is being put out of service so W&B can install the new Carrier unit.
-
I know that Carrier is better, but darn these things are loud! Can we get some Carriers with the "stealth mode" already!

Wasnt a fiber cut, it was smoke detectors in a CO data center that picked up what they thought was smoke during the replacement of an air handler. The FLS system shut the build down. Power, backup power to servers, everything. I work for JLL inside of Wells Fargo and havent been able to get any work done because of broken databases and no way anyone can connect remotely.
When it comes back up, it is going to be brutal.CannonballAA, Kamkor and MachoCyclone Thank this. -
Just picked out my truck from orientation today. There were only two Cascadias available today and I got one of them (I thank myself for doing those modules before I got here) anyways my truck number is L3311H. Hope to get a load tomorrow and make advantage of the no truck payment till March 6th. Question have any of you guys taken the cap off your maintenance account? Is that something that I should do?
MachoCyclone and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Welcome to JCT. Please when dropping a trailer any where that it is full of fuel, washed out and road ready (as in no repairs or tires needed) for the next person. While you have the "free" period of no truck payment, run your ### off. Most of the guys in my orientation group went home afterwards to move into the truck, but not me; I went straight to running. I brought home almost 2 grand while the others were complaining about making under a grand. So, it will be worth it.
Taking the cap off the maintenance account is something only you can decide for yourself. I personally did that. I see no point in stopping putting money aside for maintenance. You can also change how much money comes gets put into the maintenance account. I think the default is 5 cents per mile, but you can change that to whatever you want. If you want to do either of those things; just send a Macro 44 clearly stating what you want to do. Macro 44 goes directly to Settlements. Even if you call them; they will tell you send the macro that way the request for the change is in writing.mdmgolfin Thanks this. -
Welcome to being the 8th person in that truck.
