MORE!!! realistically, trucks obey speed limit closer than cars, most trucks cannot exceed 65mph, In ohio, it is unlikely to be pulled over for anything under 65.
I ran a 65mph truck all over ohio, always went 65, never ticketed. Run my 75mph truck at 65 too, never ticketed.
Run my 150mph car, at 78 get a ticket.
They wont ticket in most cases for under 10 over.

I will belive it when I see the signs changed...Until then I will run 62 to 65 and be on my way out of the state.

Ohio may nail as many cars as trucks, but I would imagine the car to truck ratio is very high, that argument doesn't hold water.
1000 cars in Ohio vs 100 trucks and they pull over 75 of each, who's getting targeted? Crude example, I know... -
Amen to that. C'mon Illinois, everyone's doing it! It's 2009, not 1909!
-
i pass them in the middle doing 63-65 ALL the time. NEVER been bothered.
I KNOW I KNOW, i haven't run into that polar bear having a bad day yet LOL -
Ohio and Illinois are the only states that my 61 MPH truck gets a chance to pass another truck.
If this passes, I'll only get the left side of my truck washed. Nobody will ever see the right side of it. -
If they raise it to 65 it'll stop all those Canadians from tailgating too . There will be a lot of trucks in the hammer lane running 68 m.p.h.
-
I run Canada and US, and its not only Canadians that tailgate.
-
No , but I run in MI , OH , and ON a lot and Ontario based trucks tailgate and speed more than anybody else by far .
-
Ha. There's a big difference between Ohio's 55mph truck speed limit and Illinois'. The Illinois police are too busy with all the Chicago murders, drugs, gang violence, etc to bother enforcing the speed limit. I'm full-throttle in Illinois and I set the cruise to 57 or 58 in Ohio.
