im with swift and they had regional for my area but got rid of it. Now it's all slip seating and we get paid less...

After doing Otr local and regional I prefer regional the most. You're not killing yourself beating a clock like in local, and you're not out for a month, eating subway every day like in otr. If you know you will be out for 3-5 days you can prepare for them days pretty easily. Then take 2 days off when you get bacc. Just my preference

How much experience do you have? Where in DFW do you live?
Local is the way to go around Dallas imo, lots of LTL and construction jobs.

Believe it or not.. Craigslist is a good bet to find those local jobs.

DFW is due to become the second largest metro area in the states by 2040.

The traffic is already LA bad so you have the work cut out for you.

I see signs all over for drivers around Dallas. Right now I'm sitting outside HEB in Temple. They got a sign they're hiring drivers.

I am very happy with my regional intermodal job at jbhunt. 5 days on 2 off. I work every minute of 14 during those 5 days but it is not stressful. Pay is a little on the low side but steady. Truck is assigned.

Quite a few intermodal Texas just south of Dallas off 75 by Wilmer. Quite a few smaller companies use Atomic Parking near downtown.
PAM used to offer some great turnaround runs from Dallas. Foodservice pays 1500/week around here if your willing to unload.
    What is your freight preference?
