Have at it. I'm sure you won't have anything original to say.

Sorry, no I don't. The Lake Wales loads are both Crete & Shaffer, but I believe they are all non-refer loads.

Central's top pay is 33 cents, a far cry from what Crete/Shaffer pays. Sure if a company is saving 10-13 cents per mile by paying drivers less, they can underbid most other companies. Shame, ain't it!

I looked into a refer company near home hoping for more home time. The recruiter told me that they "could not touch" what I was currently making. They offered 30 cents/mile. What a slap in the face.

I used to drive for Crete. They are a good company but I talk to their drivers and their shortage of frieght is even more dire than who drive for now. I've been stuck at this same TS for 3 days with the same trucks, from various companies, all waiting on loads too. The bad economy has just dried up frieght. So the next time you need an extra day at the house they shouldn't complain since they probably don't have a load for you anyway. And there is no sense staying out for a real long period of time, unless you like sitting at a TS instead of your home. Crete doesn't pay layover pay if shortage of freight is the reason you are laid over.

Yeah, I make .10 more a mile than my son but he is currently making more a week than I am because he gets many more miles. I could never drive for Central because the pay is low but I won't even consider driving for a company with the electonic logs. I also agree that .30 a mile is a slap in the face to an experienced driver.
