Thanks for the update! We just leased on to a new company and have a dedicated long haul that's about 530 miles round trip West to South TX. Going to be able to get the truck running 2 shifts every 24hrs again.

Sounds like an easy round you got. I'd much rather do something like that. My round trips are 30-75mi depending on where I get sent to pick up water
-
My math was off. It's still only 37% of 2012 Bakken crude rates.
The money in PA was only in sand. Water trucks in PA topped out around $135 per hour 6 years ago, but are probably down to $85 per hour now.
Crude in the Bakken was paying up to 4k to the truck daily 6 years ago. Pennsylvania drivers will never see that kind of money, but at $85 per hour, the water trucks in PA are doing over $1500 daily which sounds better than the crude guys "killing it" at $62 hourly to the truck.
25% of $62 hourly is $15.50 to the driver which hardly seems worth it. -
Maximum you could make in 2012 hauling water was $3,240 to the truck every 24 hours assuming all time was paid for. Maximum you could make hauling water in PA now if paid hourly would be around
$2,040 to the truck every 24 hours which is still better than those guys "killing it" @ $1500 daily, unless of course if that $1500 was earned in a 14 hour window of time which would be much better although not great considering the wear and tear to the truck and trailer.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
Can you say who you signed with for long hauls?
-
I can't find the "killing it" quote, but if its west Texas hauling, the $1500 referenced isn't a 24 hr rate, $3,000 per 24 hr shift is more likely.
-
Yea back then my dad almost bought a baby bottle. We get 90/hr dragging a company trailer around with our own numbers so I imagine their getting 110+ a hour
Boxes pay 95 hr but since were the new guys we get stuck on water. And the occasional RGN moving equipment around
Were thinking of going out to Ohio for a few months and dragging boxes around. My dad worked 3 years as a company driver. 1500-2000 a shift
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I feel like #### getting $2800 CAD for a 24 day rate for my tanker.
Hopefully rates pick up here soon! -
Everybody feels like####, I'll send you 30 guys p##ss#d that they,re stuck in West Texas grossing $3K per dayrabbiporkchop Thanks this.

3K per day sounds pretty good considering how low crude is nowadays
