Training is done. Took 4 weeks but wasn't bad at all. I'll start my night shift Friday it sounds like. Ready to make some money and get back to my routine. I was working nights before taking this job.
I love fuel hauling

Sorry, but they are the mega fleet of tanker work......
Kag sucks (nothing personal). I’m sure whoever was doing that work (that your doing) before kag was paying more -
Nope KAG bought out renheart there trucks were garbage and didn’t pay true overtime things have got better in 3 short years better trucks top pay at 3 years and true overtime o and guaranteed 40 hours . This winter has been slow but I’ll take my 40 to the bank every week thanks

For some reason KAG is the best in the area where I’m at. There is probably one other that is better bc they are union. In California, they were pretty much at the bottom. Everyone else had the polished tanks and paid great. KAG was running the crap. Up here in WA it’s the opposite. Most of the outfits around here are pretty rough. I guess it depends on the area.
LeGendofSeven and mamihu Thank this. -
Yea all the fuel company’s raised the pay because couldn’t find enough drivers . KAG went from 26 top to 30.50 . I went from 23 to 29 then 30.50 in like 2 months that’s when I hit my 3 years
bentstrider83 and Air Cooled Thank this. -
That's good pay. KAG doesnt pay anywhere near that here. -
Yea they really had no choice no one out here wanted to haul fuel for what u could make just hauling freight so all the fuel company’s raised there pay to the 30 plus a hour . There r a few company’s who do load base pay don’t know how the do with all the traffic and people out here in Portland

I think their trying to beat the carhaulers to the next Pitstopblairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I'm still thinking of whether or not to make the move two hours away up to Santa Rosa NM for the fuel job up there. $20/hr, +OT after 40 with a 60 hour week. There may be some raises involved and such. But apart from the move to eliminate/ease commuting woes, I'm still wondering about getting used to a set schedule again, vs. "showing up whenever" on my scheduled days at the shuttling job I'm currently doing.
Creature of the habit, but then there's consistent work, plus $3900/mo free to come in whenever vs. $5000/mo for the punctuality. -
First night on my own and it took 45 minutes to load at the fuel rack because I was so nervous. I kept thinking you push that button you buy it lol.
bentstrider83 Thanks this.
