I have a 2007 Freightliner Columbia. Dashboard gauge shows high oil pressure. I replaced oil pressure sensor and engine harness and gauge is still showing as high oil pressure. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions? Thanks

Engine? And what do you consider high pressure? Did it start suddenly or a gradual change? Either way I'd probably start with putting a mechanical gauge in the port the oil pressure sensor is screwed into the engine
ibcalm19 Thanks this. -

High oil pressure over 100 and it was a sudden change
I replaced the oil pressure sensor, engine harness, unplugged oil gauge and still getting the same issues. -
You might be able to do some pin to pin test on the ECM from the pin that is the oil pressure power and return to all other pins, and check for out of range ohm readings. Can also check the ECM pin for 5v/12v at the oil pressure signal to make sure the power is getting sent.
ECM could be causing it, or maybe really clean your grounds up at the starter, frame rail and etcLast edited: Feb 23, 2019

Check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, figure out if it is a mechanical or electrical issue.
lester and HopeOverMope Thank this.
