Not always.
And the PSP is definitely on the driver.Woodys and Cam Roberts Thank this. -
Looks legal to me, I'd still replace it. It' getting pretty close to not being legal, on the last inside rib. If I had a boss (But I dont) I'd just run it as asked. Then call in for road service and say it blew. Arguing with the boss over it,you won't win. Soo??? Thats what I would do.

How does it look legal when the standard is 2/32 in a grove? There are several places it's at 0/32 at where the grove was.olddog_newtricks, snowwy and tifosi Thank this.

I think the main thing here is arguing with the boss. I’m no longer a company driver but I recall people arguing with the “boss” about not fixing something legal or not. Guess what, there all the sudden was any work for those guys. “Sorry, no loads for you today I’ll let you know when something comes up”
Next day someone comes along and drives truck the way it is. -
Did you get that tire fixed? Some DOT may over look that since its kn the trailer but it's worth taking the risk.
-
I'd drive that thing cross country 8 times before replacing it. At least I think thats what your owner would want.

Untill he got OOS.

I’m sure that dot wouldn’t look twice when you roll by with that thing making that awful whacking sound we all know.
BigDog Trucker and Woodys Thank this. -
And for good sake just change the darn thing before it goes through someone’s windshield, y’all are so lazy and cheap.
