    My expectations for the changes pretty much match yours. Getting rid of that stupid 30 minute break would really help reduce congestion at fuel islands. Allowing flexibility with split sleeper that suspends the 14 hour clock will reduce the number of trucks in heavy traffic during rush hour.

    Just adopt the Canadian rules and be done with it...

    Except let us keep the PC and ag exemptions.... ;)

    My company's Peoplenet must have the Canadian PC turned off then because it doesn't show any PC time when I am running in Canada.

    I hope they dont do away with the 30 minute break. Nothing wrong with taking a lunch break. And you have 8 hours before you ha e to take it. With out the break I can see many guys driving the whole entire shift without a break, or trying to.

    Nothing stopping you from taking a break even if they take the mandatory break away. I personally don't like the idea of a forced break. We are adults, this is not kindergarten.
