Newbie.... blah blah blah....yadda yadda yadda

Got a lousy one today.
Stopped at a restaurant. Advertised truck parking. Can fit 8 trucks, side by side.
Driveway had another driveway about 50 yards down. Then another driveway about 200 yards. Progressively for next door.
Had several day cabs parked all over an open lot. They couldn’t back in to a spot next door. Left nothing for doubles or triples.
Went in my driveway. Half blocked by a double. He had no place to park. No big deal. One truck ahead of me pulling into restaurant. I held off to make sure he actually parked right. Some just pull in and block approach to the parking spots.
So I waited about 15 seconds. Then...
This complete a hole day cab starts honking at me. Complete a hole. He’s part of what forced the poor double to block half the driveway. Then he wants out instantly when he wants to go. No patients. Can’t wait a lousy 15 seconds. Everybody is to cater to him.
So I parked at the restaurant. Two more trucks came in behind me. Finished filling parking for restaurant. I sure hope the a hole day cab had to wait for both of them.

I’m sitting at the first of two drops.
By the feel of the trailer rocking.
I fear they unloaded everything.
Now they’re trying to figure out what isn’t theirs. They’re putting it back in.

 

I just made it home. Two days early. Home time again in only two months. It's because I need to get taxes done. Some other stuff too.
I have to say. Now, after 14 months and second job. I'm finally feeling like I'm a real OTR driver. Coming home is nice. Being out is nice. Enjoying this life.

 

Just blew $4,364.37 on two mattresses. One for home. One for truck. Both, Purple 3 mattresses. One for home is a Queen size. Must weigh over 200 pounds. Wasn't easy dragging it in the house.
Can't believe I just dumped $1,899 on a mattress for my truck. Twin XLong.
They’re delivering the twin Wednesday. I did need both of them.

EDIT: Have to say after first night. This money was worth it. Have an old injury to lower spine. Took years to get better. Lately developed pain in left leg only while laying down. Got same on my cheap mattress at home. Had to do something. This is paying off. Gives support for lower back and hips. While no pressure. It's soft but supporting. I do think part of truckers not being able to walk well. That is their beds are too soft. Not enough support for hip region.
If you want to try one of these purples. Denver Mattress is carrying them. Can go in and try the different purples. I found the '3' to be just right for me.
Yes, I think purple is much better than memory foam. Memory foam feels good. But that's all. Doesn't do anything for you. I had (have) a 3 inch memory foam topper I'm pulling out of my truck. I have experience with both.

 

Just got another A1C... 5.9...! .... and my weight is down to 160.
Last one was 6.0...
Before that... 6.1...
When I started OTR, 15 months ago. I goofed off bad... was 8.9.
