Can I run without a front plate?

Usually a temp is mounted in lower right corner of passenger windshield. See them all the time. Big legal size page. Until actual plate is picked up

 

If you do run without one have all your paperwork in order and plan on spending more time at weigh stations than drivers who do have a plate on front.

Most of us have done makeshift plates. I wouldnt even question it today. Lose a plate, immediately make cardboard plate and roll. Never been stopped in PA or NJ. I think a lot of cops see that and as long as your not driving stupid, they understand whats going on and give pass.
