Except you are restricted to ONLY their loadboard and they pay 73% if you have your own trailer and you would be using their authority. Get your own authority and you do not need Landstar.

Yes they have strings attached.
-
You can log into the Landstar website and see exactly what Landstar billed the customer you hauled for.
-
You're only going to see what they want you to see.KB3MMX, 24kHotshot and Lite bug Thank this.
-
What you see are the invoices billing the customers and the signed bills you turned in as POD.
-
Seems like that would be confidential information.24kHotshot and flatbedcarrier Thank this.
-
You can only see invoices related to your own trips.
Since they've told you what the trip pays and bought your service on that basis, why would the invoice for payment be too confidential for you to see? -
Because their agreement with their customers is confidential between themselves. As your Agreement between you and Landstar is also confidential. I have no access to the brokers contacts that they book and I carry for them. That is part of a Agreement that they have. I can chose or not to chose to carry irrespective of their Agreement.KB3MMX Thanks this.

So all you're really saying is they don't have to show us the invoices if they don't want to.
Evidently they want to. And by doing so they demonstrate to the driver and the agent that they are getting their full cut.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Don’t get me wrong, they may be. I am merely stating that I would think that would be private information, and stating the reason I think that. I am not leased to Landstar. I have booked loads with them when I was starting out. I know a few Good Agents with Landstar but most of them I could do without. I have not booked a load with them in a long time. Matter of fact the last two times Landstar was involved in a load I had anything to do with with the help of another broker we took it away from them. They had low priced it on the load board and could not move it. We moved it for more money.
