if u don't mind now that i got u on the line; whats the legalities/rules when u get a cdl in 1 state but move to another? In my case, been living in MS with an OH drivers license. Will have to get it switched down here to get permit/cdl then if i go back to OH in future, 1yr +, will i need to get switched back to OH cdl? Road test and/or written test. Thanks

all the big companies like crst, cr England, covenant they will get you the cdl on the state they are in then once you finish all the test etc you will change it to your state of residence but if you get like hazmat endosements they will make you retake the exam

Ok Ruckie, thanks for replying man. Seems like the trucking gig has done well by you. A result of the hard work and hard lessons learned along the way. Having hard time getting a cdl through sponsored companies (past history) and limited funds for school, checking with TDI for in-house financing and state grant (hard to come by) but will figure something out, or not! Question, better chances and flexibility in job search with school or sponsered company (if i can find 1). Ok man, again appreciate it. Keep up the good work. Be safe, stay healthy. Peace! GC
