I had that happen to me in the UP early in my career.....trailer was set at 20 degrees and it was -15 outside. Went inside the trailer while it was getting unloaded just to warm up!

Ugh... so I popped a couple hinges on a trailer today... tight blind side back... I even had another Abilene Driver spotting me... backed too close to a yellow post... We didn’t notice that the door pushed right past it slightly... until I pulled out to reposition the tail end a bit... spotter saw it hooking but couldn’t stop the forward motion in time...

    POP goes three hinges.... ugh.

So we easily got them fixed... 60 minutes tops.

Worst part? Seems we now need, or rather first time for me, to call “Swift” to get some claim number for a simple $180 repair... ok

Was ON HOLD with “Swift” for 1h35m for a 5m conversation... that’s NINTY FIVE MINUTES... for a five minute chat... and now they have to call me back... lol

It LITERALLY took less time to fix three hinges than it did to get through to “Swift”... LOL

The company that I just left did that same stupid crap. Broken electrical cord, window shattered by a rock thrown out of a drive tire, cracked air line, call the stupid accident line. What a waste of time.

If your GPS tries to route you through Philly during rush hour, ignore it and go up the NJ Turnpike instead.

If your GPS tells you to come in on that last street from the north, it lies. Come in from the south.

You can sleep there overnight. If you have a rollup, you can back into a dock and they'll be happy to shake you awake in the morning when they start unloading your truck.

    Don't run off the embankment.

Varies. Sometimes they've got me out quick, other times they've taken a while. One time I had to put in for detention. But generally they're not any worse than anybody else.

Return trip is either a deadhead or sometimes Halls up in...wherever it is. Edison? Metuchen? Don't remember.

    Question!
    On a Boar's Head Load.
From "Jarratt, VA to Groveport, Ohio.
    I have always taken 95 N to 288
    and 288 to 64 W to 35 N and finally 23 N ect.
Is there any other road; that we can take to make the trip shorter? "Time wise"
