It's been right there in the main hallway when you come in the back door for a few months. It's impossible to miss. It's a huge block of small lockers

They are becoming more and more common because of this euphemistic term "porch pirates", people who follow the UPS or FedEX truck around any given neighborhood and steal the packages off the porch that were just delivered.
And they are just plain thieves. That is why you now get a text message or email from UPS or FedEX when the package is delivered. No more claims "I never received it". Their responsibility ends when that message is sent.
Here is how one guy handled it.

I’ve been using UPS stores across the country to receive mail from purchases online. They usually charge $5 per package. I forgot about the Amazon lockers. I remember when they first came out a few years ago.

They're great. You pick the locker, and you get a code. When you arrive, you enter the code and it pops the door open. Your stuff is in it's own non-shared locker. If you don't retrieve it, it just goes back to Amazon. I have used them for returns, and to have stuff delivered when I need them away from home.

If you are doing a return, and the locker is too small, it will give you a larger one if you tell it to.

Some of the newer ones are Dark Grey.

They are at a lot of quick trips now too.

My only concern is how much less time do you need? Not every warehouse has every item. Do I have to know where I'm stopping 2 days from now?

I have Amazon Prime, which delivers most products in one or two days. Sometimes this means having to select a seller who charges a few extra cents to be able to use Prime. Not all sellers use Prime.

Just recently I tried using an Amazon locker, but the item I wanted didn’t qualify for delivery to a locker. Apparently only certain products can be mailed to a locker.
