No kidding. And, for some reason, I still seem to exercise so much better judgment at a shipper/receiver than I do with SWMBO.

Most companies, don't give drivers detention pay, eventhough, they're collecting it.:biggrin_25510:

Every company I've been with has given the driver detention monies. That's one thing I always tell people who are going to talk to a new company to ask about. For companies to collect that money from the customer might be a little tough right now but usually the driver gets it anyway if that's what you were told you were going to get. :biggrin_25525:

USA truck had a nice little trick to that.
if you got 2500+ miles that week you didn't qualify for ANY TYPE of accesorial pay. (until they did away with it altogether):biggrin_25512:

That is always a good motto, but sometimes I can't even hold on that long. I had an experience loading at IMTT-Bayonne when I first entered I had to re-weigh becuse there computer had not picked up the weight from the scale.

Then they put me back in line and when get back to the window the girl behind the window starts screaming about order numbers. About 20 minutes back and forth I get my paperwork and head down to load. I sit down there for 30 mins before I see anyone. After loading I head back to the office for my bill of lading but what do you know there is something wrong with the computer.

I sit there for 3 hours while everything is at a stand still. I was talking to anther driver that had been there for 8 hours and they wouldn't even let him use the bathroom.

What did they want their parking lot to smell like? Sheesh!
That would be one place I might intentionally leave a crap bag.

If anyone sees a driver do that and reports it, that can loose an account for the trucking company. The way things are now, no one can afford the loss of revenue. So, even if you're upset over what the customer has done to you, think before you do something that you and your company may regret for a long time to come.

Yah, good point there. I wouldn't actually do something like that, but I'd think it.
The more of these I read, the more I plan to hit WallyWorld for one of those portables. Question remains as to just exactly where you empty that thing!
