He's probably refering to the Lake Butler, FL accident a cpl years ago.

The thing that pisses me off is the politics that go into the DOT/LEO! A great example is the big city areas where they are running junk and dangerous trucks but yet no DOT to enforce the laws!

A vehicle inspection sticker for your car, cost $9 here.

The fine is $130 for not having it. BUT they don't inspect anything. And you're allowed to take right back off, and drive to your hearts content.

    Kinda sums it up.. $$$$$$

I'm sure you're talking about the consignee who got fined. But you're not thinking. If YOUR company got fined $150k or so, would not heads roll, methods be changed?
If the feds put the company out of business, YOU just lost a customer and go sit in the truckstop some more.

MY company wouldn't get fined like that because I wouldn't work for a company that operated the way Crete did. If the carrier went out of business the same amount of freight would be there and there would be more work available at other carriers . Drivers that violated HOS the way Crete allowed deserve to lose their jobs anyway .
