Good truck companies in Washington area?

A guy at Safeway in Spokane married one of my wife's friends. I think he's a union driver. Makes real good money.

 

A kid I trained at FedEx has been at their Auburn, WA DC for about five years now. He seems pretty happy there.

 

There's some decent local jobs around most cities,but you have to search for them. I've always recommended drivers keep a list of companies they hear about and use it for a backup plan. That's what I always did my whole career. If I don't write the name down, I'll forget.

 

I'll be moving up there in 2-4 years. How's construction? I'm doing pneumatic tanker right now and it's a good gig. I'm in california so it never really slows down bc of the weather. I know it's a different story up there with the rain and snow. I may end up hauling fuel again if I move up there. I'm really after what I've got now- 100% paid family benefits. I understand that's REALLY difficult to find in today's world. Perhaps a union gig up there?

 

How about an update? Anything yet?
BTW, I forgot to ask if you'd be interested in working local eventually, and if you would be willing to work nights. I could keep you posted if we end up with any openings...
