Emery doesn't have the product ready, so I get to sit a bit. At least there may be some loading delay.
I called Wilmington and put in a go home date for Saturday. That'll get Jeff sending me to K or Raeford. I hadn't packed for a system run, just a maybe run. Being in a loaner truck isn't how I want to roll either.
My truck should be done with warranty work by the time I get back.

Load out tomorrow for Sanford NC. Will be home Saturday.

At our Charleston WV terminal and about to catch a little March madness. I'm 300 out from my Friday morning delivery. Of course, I will call Jeff to see if I can go ahead and deliver tomorrow.

How is that Charleston terminal? I've always been fond of that little town.

I stop here a lot. A couple of comfortable chairs, television, shower, but not much else. It's a bit crowded for parking. I stop here to take a 10 because everything else fills up at night and I can always find a decent spot and the coffee is hot in the morning.scythe08 Thanks this.

Saw the news today that Superior is now going to be a training company. This from their Blog Four Strategic Initiatives for 2019 and Beyond | Superior Bulk Logistics
"Stone’s second initiative is the formal creation of a stand-alone Superior Bulk Logistics Driving Academy in Greer, South Carolina. To be open to the general public, the Academy will provide in-depth training for careers in bulk transportation, instruction that reflects SBL’s groundbreaking history of excellence in the field, and longstanding commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. At the conclusion of their training, those driver graduates who are successfully hired by SBL will have their tuition reimbursed. The Company is targeting July 2019 for a grand opening." -
That's a ways off. July at the earliest. Already had looked into that. Thanks

I didnt mean it in a good way. So now they start their own school, hire their own graduates. Then what? Become a blue Schneider bulk?
Mortarmaggot Thanks this. -
Why do seem to think this is inherently bad? Why does that make them destined to become Schneider bulk? They already hire new cdl grads from approved schools, this just seems like a natural step from that.

They have been donating equipment and hiring students from Greenville Tech for years. Sounds like they want to control the whole process. Greer houses the training facility all drivers attend. I imagine that staff will have expanded roles in this.Slim51 Thanks this.
