Tidewater Transit has a terminal in Jacksonville. I've hauled a couple of loads out of that terminal, but don't really know much about how they typically run. Seemed like nice folks though.

Sorry to hear that. I yanked a System Tank out of St. Louis. Made good money and new Terminal Manager Josh was awesome to work for.

To the OP, all the signs are there. Company is going under. Time to move on to better things. If you stay there, you will probably start another thread saying how this company screwed me when you had the opportunity to leave while you was some what ahead. Goodluck

I think you might be too far out for superior, but if you're willing to relocate then the sky is the limit. I can't speak for everywhere, but up here in the NE we'll hire just about anyone with a pulse and clean piss. We are that busy.

Florida has always been known for low pay. I worked there way back in 1978 and it was low then and still is low now. I'd get out but not out of tankers. You can find another job with better pay and benefits if you're willing to relocate. You have an advantage because you already have experience. Look around and stay away from common carriers. Find a good job with a dedicated contract and one that pays by the hour. They're harder to find but you have the skills providing your record is clean.

Boasso out of Jacksonville will hire anyone with 2 arms and a dot card. Trucks run good and you will drive by the house often during the week

When the company looses good loads , parks and sells equipment , lays off support staff , it's time to go . McKenzie tank did the same thing , next thing you know they sold out . Look around in the area see who all of a sudden has a lot of trucks on the road . In that area I see a lot of Howard Shepard trucks , lots of new ones and leased tanks , I would say they are picking up business .
