So I was doing my job as a Lyft driver, and I’m not going to justify anything or even explain anything other than I recieved a minor traffic violation with a fine I have to pay. I have my CDL permit and am in the process of getting a CDL-A. Technically as of the time of writing this my driving record is still completely clean, no (convicted) tickets or accidents. Is this going to mess me up that I will potentially not have a clean driving record now? If I take traffic school and remove the point off my DMV report am I able to tell trucking companies my record is clean? (Since technically I would have cleaned it)
I’m kind of just beating myself up over this, that this had to happen now, out of all times. At least it was minor and only 1 point, and not for something like speeding. Anyone have any advice?
Made a mistake, recieved a traffic violation in PMV while in the process of getting CDL. How bad?

Help us help you and tell us what this “minor” traffic violation is.

I know with a CDL driving school is not an option, double check with your state if the CLP is the same.jammer910Z Thanks this. -
in some instances, a court clerk has the power to do this, but in many other instances, you must go thru the prosecutor's office.jammer910Z Thanks this. -

Since at the time the ticket was issued you did not have a cdl, you might be able to get away with traffic school. Do you have to disclose this “confidential conviction” after traffic school? I have no idea. This is something you need to take up with an expert. Contact the dmv and ask.
See when the soonest traffic school starts and get it off ASAP.
