Hey all! This is my first thread, and this topic caught my attention.
As many of you would probably agree, it's getting harder than ever to find a good place to stop, and even harder still to find one that treats you like a human being. Gordy's Truck Stop in LaPine, OR on US-97 is about the best around. When I go in for a meal I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and a genuine concern for how I'm doing. The waitresses will actually talk to you and go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. The food is awesome, reasonably priced, and you'd better be hungry because most items on the menu are generously portioned. Restrooms and showers are very clean and well stocked. The only downside to Gordy's is trying to get back onto Hwy 97 S/B during the busy travel times. You may being sitting there a while waiting for a clear shot, but it's worth it.
