    I believe this settlement is separate from legal fees & court costs. This Settlement amount is already on Swifts books so it seems they probably started funding it years ago since the case is a decade old.
    It also seems that Knight who has already paid out a settlement from cases prior to the merger started negotiations on how this settlement would be paid back in 2017 when they merged. The amount paid to individual drivers will come down to tenure & hrs worked during the misclassification.
