I have never had a CDL. I planned on going, I have CPL. I bought my driving history and learned my license was suspended for 18 days March 2018. I assume its because I paid my +5 Speeding fee too late, which I received Dec. 2017.
I wonder if anyone would hire me after school? I go this morning to meet them and pay for school, if he thinks I can get work still. I never knew my license was suspended a year ago, for 18 days for FCJ-failure to comply with judgement. I just knew I procrastinated on paying after it turned out I couldn’t take a class to get the speeding ticket taken away, like the magistrate said.
Should I just go down a different career path until my record is clean? How much money why could someone in my situation make, and how often could I be home? I know that no one can tell me for sure. Just looking for insight.
With moving violation and Suspension of license from paying ticket late, Is truck school worth it?

You are in Michigan, so I have to ask how do you NOT know your license is suspended?
-
Is the Trucking School hiring you? Trucking schools do not have anything to do with obtaining WORK... they have to do with obtaining a CDL (or not). You need to complete the electronic applications on this and many other trucking sites and see if anyone is willing to hire you. There are two standards.. obtaining a CDL is pretty easy as it relates to most everything. Obtaining employment where a person are is a potential liability to a company/business is another. Look for companies that state in writing that they will hire you.. then ask them for recommendations for training.

If the CDL itself is SUSPENDED a year ago then that's a problem.
If the basic car license was suspended it's not so much a problem. But still a strike.
You did not state what it was suspended for. It takes alot for a state to suspend a license. But when they do it's but a step from that to revoking. -
SORRY FOR NOT BEING CLEAR EVERYONE.
My bad, #### I worded that poorly.

My license was suspended in 2005 for FTP. I cleared it up within a week and have had no problem landing jobs. I can only speak from my experience but what I was told that they don’t frown too hard on those types of suspensions. They frown on DUI and criminal suspensions more than a FTA or FTP. I say go for it!

2005 should have cleared from your license after 10 years. The only other headache is credit score. FTP will sometimes equal lack of interest from a company. Yet really I would omit this info on any application where it has been 14 years
