Own Authority Guys, How Do You Bill The Broker?

About 80% of the invoicing, it is sent email to the consignee, the rest are printed via quickbooks and sent via snail mail.

 

Quickbooks online very easy to use and set up.

Never factor. No banking info, unless customer is very trusted after doing many loads for them. Mail paper check. If necessary, I have someone at home town who can collect mail and deposit money.

All of these direct deposit systems sound great until you read the fine print says they can withdraw money afterwards if they realize they either overpaid you or a claim is against you they will just take the money. Read about how some suckers for punishment continue hauling for tql when there is a claim against them, tql will hold all money for loads done after the one that has a claim. That isn't even legit but they do it anyway. Do you really trust any of them to not act in a similar manner? Enough to give them this access to your money?

I suppose if you have an account that is not allowed to go negative and you transfer the money out immediately may work. I still don't like the idea. I would want to transfer it to a separate bank lol...

 

I have two accounts at the same bank. I get a text when a deposit is made, then just slide x amount into other account using a app. Brokers have no info for other account.

 

As long as your bank knows not to let one account go into the negative as long as the total is positive it can work. They give me way too much credit and overdraft and pretty much everything they offer. I don't want some of these things. Kind of like a credit card with a "hard limit" of say $2,000 for online buying only. I want them to deny anything that would push it beyond 2000. No. Instead they allow it to go past then charge me an extra fee for going beyond credit limit. So I don't have that card anymore.

 

Also, CamScanner is a great app that let's you photograph documents and converts them to a PDF so you can email them.

 

This account is something like you would set up for a teenager. If it goes to -$15 it’s locked down until it’s back positive. No fees if you meet certain criteria. They do try and get me to upgrade. I got a email the other day asking for my yearly income,sent it straight to trash.

 

Most brokers offer a fuel advance once you’re loaded. Normally it’s up to 50%,but some charge a fee. I’m not a big fan of taking it, but there are certain situations it may be a good idea.
