I had a chemical load hit me in the face taking a cap off a hose one time. It was some type of detergent added to lawn pesticide. It burned my eyes like you wouldn't believe. I imagine Diese fuel would have you stinking for a while
I love fuel hauling

The tanks are vented in a different area, sometimes behind the station, on the edge of the property, or above the pump awning. BUT!!!!! This is one of those "call dispatch and let them make the decision whether or not to drop" situations! At the very least they should be made aware of the issue.
RockinChair Thanks this. -
They are aware of it because the store has always been this way. I was asked can you still deliver the load? Lol

Diesel does not require vapor recovery. That's the why it was when I was working. Our policy was if it's there use it.

Is there more involved unloading fuel vs chemicals in a tanker?
-
Makes sense to me

That's nice

Even in California I didn’t use a vapor recovery unloading diesel. Most stations don’t have it.

Thanks for your input. Your years of experience are valuable to TTR
Alot of our stores do have vapor recovery for diesel. I wonder if it's a state by state basis -
I just got hired on with a fuel hauler here in the PNW, straight out of CDL school (6 months). Yes, hiring drivers is hard here, so I got lucky, but I also pursued it.
Having my TWIC & Hazmat endorsement in hand helped sweeten the deal.
Good luck!
