Ok so I’m in the market for a dry van trailer.

Looking at a Wabash trailer that’s plated so I don’t miss out on loads.

Please explain if food grade means only food can be transported in that trailer or as long as it’s clean and no chemicals or smells?

What would be a good price for a new Wabash trailer? Not looking for anything fancy, just skirts, logistics post, air ride, air slide and maybe even a TPS.

What’s a good financing rate for excellent credit?

Also read on here that Great Dane and wabash plated trailers are wider than utility?

    Please help

Food grade- no holes, leaks or odors, sometimes no fiberglass roofs. Holes in wood panels are suspect to insects to some shippers. Wabash $32000 and up Thea’s days. Everyone I’ve talked to with a Utility aren’t happy at all with them. Built cheaply I’ve heard. Rates? Shop around, never know “ new” rates should be lower than “used”. Maybe get a special. Check around, paccar finance, never know what promotion you may find for new equipment. First place to check is Dealer your purchasing from.Sometimes having financing in place, and making a “ cash” deal is better. As Dealers are in bed with lenders, routinely getting kickbacks. Commonly adding .25% or more to rate at last minute. That’s the game they all play. Legal and all in the fine print.

My 2019 Wabash trailer has everything you mentioned along with the tire inflation system and stainless rear doors. Also has swivel glad hands, vents front and back, steps up to vent in front, paperwork holder on front, tire carrier under trailer, and surelock door handles on the back. Price $32,500

I financed through my local bank at 5.15% on 5 yrs.

    Hope that helps.

Edit, it does have the further apart Logistics posts but has a reinforced floor with some extra beams.

    LoneRanger and Truckermania Thank this.
