Not sure I would have bothered trying to protect a balloon at that level. Nor would I have took that lesson from it.
Balloons lose air without being popped. Eventually you would be holding a limp piece of rubber.
It was just a balloon.

It's a lesson in human nature.
The ladies teaching the class then asked," Why did those with balloons try so hard to protect them, and why did you with pins try so hard to pop them? We only told everyone to take a balloon or a pin."SteerTire Thanks this. -
poly trucking grand prairie tx you can choose where you go, its 56cpm by the hub. if your looking for the most freedom without buying a truck i would chk it out see if its for you.

Poly is non-forced dispatch on outbound loads and forced on backhauls .
With landstar he'd be picking from a load board .
I know a guy in Arizona that has a landstar fleet . Gives his drivers a laptop and access to loadboards/agents . Some of the drivers do horribly and can't self dispatch while others do quite well ! -
My drivers who are with ls don't all use the load board, maybe 30% do, they all have working relationships with the agents and do quite well. I don't get this idea that LS is self-dispatch, you still have to get the load through an agent or the company itself and there is sometimes a change that makes one truck not get a load while another will get it.
-
when picking outbound loads at poly for the most part you kno where the backhauls are gonna end up,so your still mostly in charge of where you end up if you understand what backhauls go off of each load, and what loads go out of each plant and to where, also some outbound loads already have a backhaul attached to them.Last edited: Apr 1, 2019

Your gonna lose out on this one.
What if he doesn't like the loads you
Pick or the lanes your running.
Then what?
Can you run toll roads or does that come
Out of your check?
Does he have prepass and ezpass?
Once you pick a load, can you route yourself,
Or is he gonna tell you the cheapest way to
Go to save him money.
Can you fuel wherever you want,or is he gonna
Tell you where to get fuel, and how much.
Are you fueling at the pilot,loves,T/A.
Or squeezing into the 7 eleven and circle K.
What happens if you take cheap freight
Because it goes where you want to go.
Will he get mad?
What happens if the truck breaks down
For a week?
Do you get a motel room and break down pay?
Or do you have to sleep in the truck in the
Back of the dearship every night till it's fixed?
I've seen many owner ops do this.
If you slip and fall getting out of the truck
And break your ankle, then what happens.
Your 1099 you've got no coverage for anything.
Hell just throw someone else in the truck.
I'll say it again, your gonna lose on this one.Veteran driver, TheyCallMeDave and Milr72 Thank this. -
You're right. I've decided not to move forward with it. I much prefer w2 jobs. Im looking into a couple of companies that offer w2 and benefits. Thanks for the input guys
