Danny Hermann trucking might be what you are looking for. They run mostly I-40 and south, coast to coast runs.

I will take a look at them. That is less than 2 hours from home.

    Thank you

No problem. They are a small family run company and very driver friendly. Good luck.

For you or anyone else who may need the answer to this question, all you have to do is type the "at" sign ( @ ) and the member's user name. You will see a pop-up box showing you who matches that name. Click on the name and it will tag them

Note, this does not work if you edit the post. You will think you have tagged the member, but the member will not know you have attempted the tag.

Sounds like you would enjoy running midwest for Indian River Transport.
Midwest drivers are run ragged. I tried it for a few weeks. Juuuuuuust a couple HOS stretches to get to where I needed to be.

IRT food grade tanks are easy to transition to from dry vans. That's what I did.

If you make a name for yourself at IRT, you may request that the tractor governor be turned up. Seen it firsthand at the HQ in Winterhaven.

    No cameras.
    No automatic tractor shut off
New tractor after 420,000 or so
48' tanks are easier to maneuver/back
Only fueling restrictions are 49 gallons in Oregon or at PFJ.

No fueling restrictions at Love's or TA
    No route or fuel solution

Well maintained equipment. Unlike other companies, if you need something fixed, you will be routed somewhere that issue can be fixed. Not just sent to a terminal.

Avoid Lassonde in Arkansas near the Tyson plant. Lassonde receives orange juice concentrate and it takes them 8 hours to offload due to their being cheap and not buying equipment sufficient enough to finish a job quickly.

Dispatch is competent. I've only threatened one dispatcher one time.

IRT is managed efficiently without making the drivers suffer via ballbreaking and passive aggressive policies.

While IRT isn't small, you're not treated like a number. Unless you want to be.

I love to run hard out there. I run my 11 out to the max. I keep the doors shut. Not in compatition with anyone and with that said, I just love to run 700 + mile days. I just want to do my job the best way I can, it is how I was raised. The longer the run the better. I think I need to talk to these people come Monday and see what they have to say and see if they might be interested in a truck driver like me.

Thank you for the information on them. This is helpful.
