I personally want an older truck, I don't want some new digital guage, plastic dash having, beeper buzzing new pos. Give me old school and I'll still be comfortable I'll still be happy and I'll still pull just as many miles as the that new truck will.

The pay is still low and uncompetitive in the industry. Honestly scummiest company I every worked for and I have worked for some real interesting outfits.

Do tell!

They are raising their pay to .48 to start , seems on par with most others I seenLonesome Thanks this.

I work here at Monson and sons and everything that I have read couldn’t be further from truth for one pay is .48 cpm long haul miles (over 500 mile) .63cpm short haul (under 500 miles) when I got hired on done orientation in one day and was in a truck (2016 389 glider) and loaded for the next day Dispach is awesome they keep me moving and make sure I am happy with everything they want you to just communicate with them we are getting our brand new gliders In and on the road now I love this company and I can truly say I have found my home

Good to hear driver, I was with them last year, but had to come away due to a family situation. Yeah they were good to me, I was in truck 591, not sure if they still have that one, it was an old Western Distributing truck, had the big Cat in it, but it was an 07 I think. Good people there.

Do they hire out of Oregon?

Used to see Monson trucks all the time at the wine warehouses in American Canyon, CA. They’d come into port of Oakland with a loaded refer container from the east, grab an m/t and I assume reload wine to get them back east again. Saw them and Hills Bros doing the same. Monson trucks always looked clean and bright.
To add to this, I never once saw a Monson driver wearing sweat pants/flip flops.Last edited: Jan 1, 2019
Rugerfan Thanks this. -
I have no idea what the pay is currently I was just telling my experience when I worked there. Everything I said was accurate. Monson was probably the worst outfit I ever ran for but in my experience some people have different expectations then others.

How long have u been employed there? I know for a fact there are drivers getting 50cpm & short haul pay depends on length of loaded miles. 1-100 is .15 cpm 101-250 is like .10 cpm or something to that affect. Short haul miles pay stops @ around 375 or possibly less.
