Schneider has “housekeeping” clean the interiors of trucks prior to reassignment but it’s hardly a detail cleaning. Most are acceptable but let’s face it, some truck drivers are just gross. I’ve got a nice 2017 freightliner recently assigned with APU, inverter, fridge, about 148,000 miles. I pulled out the old mattress to replace it with the new one the shop gave me only to find literally piles and piles of spent/spit out sunflower seed hulls, probably a pound or two. Either the previous driver was a total pig or there was an unauthorized parrot onboard. I didn’t see any bird poop so I’m guessing the former.

This being said, Schneider will pay you to clean out the truck if it’s unacceptable.

Yeah it's been hard searching for OTR companies since I like to take time off in indiana and texas. But after a year and a half there's a few more opportunities available. Why do you recommend pro sport?

I guess I'm one of the few that got lucky, my recruiter didn't bs me. Told me my first year I'd get a crappy truck and once the 2020's start rolling in I'd get one with 0 miles on it, 8 months into Schneider and that's exactly what happened. It seems like to me people that are unhappy or dislike schnieder due to a bad experience are mostly OTR guys, where as dedicated guys seem more happier with Schneider like myself. It's a 50/50 thing not everything is going to work for everyone, but I wouldn't really put down the company in my opinion.

I recommend them because I started driving for them when they only had 40 trucks and now over 200.

They pay for your trip to orientation which is near Chicago and pay you like a hundred bucks a day for 2-3 days orientation plus your hotel stay. They have their own shop and like 10 cars for drivers to borrow when in the terminal. For smaller company thats not bad. Maybe because both owners are ex drivers ?

Plus their fleet now is mainly 2019-2020 cascadias governed at 67 and they pay like 55 or 60 cpm.

I havent driven for them for 3 years but I still stop by say hello to owners and office people now and again ans its nice to see a company that at least tries to work for the drivers.

Wow thread started off good then nose dived into hate the company, I did 13 months as a tanker driver with Schneider. at the very least I made 700 to 900 a week, I was dispatched out of Savannah and never had any major issues, I love the fact that they have terminals all throughout the U.S., I currently drive class B expedite trucks, however things are slowing down, so looking to return maybe to Schneider in the near future, good solid company, can't ask for much more then that....it is all about the attitude, dispatchers can feel u through the phone...bad vibes gets u no miles and major headaches.....

It's the truth man. Just read driver reviews of the place over at facebook. One guy tried to get a day off to see his son in the military off to deployment and got denied saying too many drivers took time off. Another said this:

"Changing companies soon. My checks are drastically shorter than they should be, my truck is really not suitable for an OTR driver that’s trying to bang out miles. Also found out that we’re paid by city limits, not by actual miles. Which means driving 2400+ miles in a week is useless if you drive through large cities. No thanks. You can keep your awful trucks and awful pay. Out here as a solo OTR driver in a 2016 with 358k miles on it, having to buy so much food at truck stops cause I can’t plug anything in here and a cooler is useless if you have to park overnight without ice."

Pretty much spot on. They're ran by investors now and don't care about drivers. Just look up SNI on facebook and read the reviews. Dishonest company and worst of all dishonest with a bunch of ridiculous micro managing crap attached to the truck. They need to unionize this industry at least for these mega trucking companies.
