Ok now I’ll take offense to that last ree-mark;
Just ‘cause I’m a homeless hobo; no family, no teeth, no responsibilities, no credit, no money, no nuthin...
Well, ‘eee-leven ‘hunnert dollars a week nearly makes me a rich man.
Hell, I think I just hit me the lottery.
Quittin school in the third grade was the best thing I ever did.
Hey Ma... I finally made it!
What would K&B do?

I talked to a k@b recruiter a few years ago and he sounded like a jerk to me .
Hung up on him .
K@b is just tyson/ Ibp's bish....along with the usual crowd there .

But 1100-1350 a week salary? Sure. I'll take it. I just hope the company revenue is sufficient to afford me. 20 miles or 20000 miles you wont hear much from me. We had someone post recently this past week offering what I consider the ultimate in wages in trucking and some pretty good restrictions, all of which I met. If he wants to pay me 4000 I would not complain. HOWEVER, I would tell him cut that to 2500 and bank the rest So that in a few months there should be 10,000 dollars in a account to cover any problems between me and company. IF we made it a few years? There would not be a house or land here in the Ozarks that I would not be able to buy hook line and sinker with that money,. I just hope he has the few million in revenue off the truck by then.
One can dream.
Moral of the story, no one should complain with 1000 a week in their pocket after taxes. That's what my Uncle Made in the 50s some weeks. If you cannot build a life free of debt on 4000 dollars cash per month then you need to emigrate from wherever you are at and get somewhere much cheaper. -

I hear you Mr Rubberduckie.
There are very few people of means in my experience that is worth the time and effort to work with. The rest of them have just one goal, to be hedonistic and greedy in everything. because they can.
I fondly remember the few who have taken a moment to be good to us. Not in money terms but actual life experiences that were good for the children growing up. -
bzinger Thanks this.

Myself, I do live in the south and $1100.00 bucks a week just won’t cut it.
After taxes and insurance, you’ll be taking home a whopping $800.00 bucks a week. If you’re lucky.
It’s not a matter of “acting your wage”; it’s a matter of survival. Or lack of it.
If you’ve got the most modest of homes, have a reliable car (along with all the required insurance), have any...any! health issues whatsoever, including dental work, and have any family members to support, etc., then taking home $800 bucks a week is no life at all.
In fact, it’s a real struggle.
Accepting these low wages, along with an attitude that is based upon pure compliance, as well as the defense of the situation that originally created this exploitation is not a sign of strength... it’s weakness.
If it’s not “only about the money”, why not just go work for free?Last edited: Apr 12, 2019

K&B pimps out drivers to the mid west meat packing plants. That's why they exist. The weekly pay "guarantee" is a fraud. With all the sitting at meat plants you are sure to do that guarantee amount is probably all you're ever going to make. They try to tell you when and under what weather conditions you will drive. For anybody with any standards or personal goals, it's a dead end job. I lasted a month.
drvrtech77 and RubberDuckie Thank this.
