No thank you. More wasted space.QuietStorm Thanks this.

Yep, this would be the best answer for the op I believe, since Im guessing he is wondering about opening shop in truck stop.
Ive seen one some where in the mid west and not only were there no patients, most the time I didnt even see staff.
I think RustyBolts comments were a bit harsh and not completely in line, but hell, a lot of chiropracters ARE quacks. Not all, and I do believe they have use in some situations but yoid have to do some serious research on what would be your point of diminishing return and where your best price point would be. Yeh, Id use one, but not for the prices I usually see charged and I bet the empty waiting room in that one docs room is because other drivers feel the same way as far as price point. -
I frequently need and find a chiropractor while on the road. I have my chiro at home check out any that I find before using them
-
And I don't need a mini movie theater. When I'm away from home I want to keep moving. If I have time to watch a movie I want to be at home.
-
I might let them loosen a tightened hip flexor, or such.
I don't let ANYONE touch my neck.
Only MY Chiropractor would ever adjust my spine. He knows me.Puppage Thanks this. -
I would not. I have never gotten to one and aint about to start now. I already have loss of bone mass in the spine and frankly no one will get to be bending that thing around. It will snap due to it being degenerative.
Ive spent most of trucking lumping boxes, sometimes loading on and unloading off. All the babble about safe lifting and so on is wasted. Closing the barn after the horse has left. Ive learned to stop that lumping period. It's a matter of self preservation. -
I think that if the chiro was really good and had good tens machines it would work, with a reasonable price.
You would have to start out with limited hours and concentrate on real pain relief and develop a clientele and reputation. Many drivers run the same routes and stop at the same places.
Think about it. Driving can really tighten your muscles. So if a driver knew that he could get real pain relief at a reasonable price from someone skilled, why not? -
It has been quite a few years, but at one time the sapp bros in salt lake had a pretty good chiropractor.
He seemed to stay pretty busy from what I saw, I think I used him twice. It was also a handy place to get a dot physical back then too. I don't know if either is still available anymore. -
after 22 years of driving this is what I have learned. we sit for extended periods of time which shortens our hamstrings. our hamstrings become shortened and then our pelvis rocks forward. as the pelvis rocks forward it causes our spine to misalign. as our spine becomes more frequently/severely misaligned it causes damage to our discs. throw in clutching 1000 times a day/365 days a year and now your pelvis is rocked forward and to the left. most of us with any amount of time behind the wheel will develop l-4/l-5 spinal issues. So everytime you get out of the truck stretch your hamstrings. take this advice from someone who suffers and knows why (to late btw) and goes to chiropractor 2x a week for spinal decompression and adjustment.
