If $1750/mo makes or breaks you then there is something else needing addressed. Even if you had no payments then you still would need to save for your next truck and trailer. Hell if I was you I’d find a driver to put in the truck and do the load planning and dispatch from home. Get your numbers looking better by having time to focus on it. Then expand from there.
Anyway, didn’t mean to single you out. Just noticed your tone so to speak was pretty down compared to how you have been before so hope you keep going and prosper. This stuff isn’t easy that’s for sure.
Getting my own authority, how do you get loads?

If it was as simple and easy as you say it is then this industry wouldn't have such a high failure rate.
-
It's not that it's such a failure. I was successful last year. It's when you step back and you see all the money you put into it and all the fuel, maintenance you did and you reap such a tiny reward. That's when you say, wait a minute something isnt right here.
-
Everyone was successful last year. Rates were literally higher than they have ever been in history. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity to bank a ####load of cash. -
Progressive gave a quote of 2500 down and 1250 a month and that's including load insurance.

You have any names of those companies by any chance.
-
Yes. But those are my sources. They need to be near where you live. That way when someone calls in sick, or quits, you can be ready to go on short notice.
Typically these kinds of companies go to the same places / destinations.
Do then you start to meet similar companies in those places.
Get out in your community and meet some people. Seek and ye will find.gokiddogo and Scooter Jones Thank this. -
Obviously Progressive is the wrong company then! We got its through OOIDA at over half of that and we're brand new.
-
What you got it for is irrelevant (cost varies by state)..unless you are a new entrant carrier out of Florida. Unfortunately Progressive is the only option right now in FL...
As far as OOIDA goes...good luck because not all brokers will accept their insurance..PE_T and chimbotano Thank this.
