IvI' got an old Dodge,96, and at least in those years I believe Ford a better truck, much better suspension, so I understand why one might want to do the conversion

And start a bunch of new emmision problems.
My vote goes for the P pump. If you want some power i can give you a guys # that builds some serious 12v. He can work on that P7100 with his eyes shutCabover9670 Thanks this. -
It's only gonna be good if u put the lifestyle Cummins decal on ur backwindowCabover9670 Thanks this.

A Cummins is better than any Powerjoke.
rabbiporkchop, D.Tibbitt, Cabover9670 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The 7.3s didn't have enough power to hurt themselves even. The 6.0s have power, right up until they blow the head gaskets. I don't know what the troubles were with 6.4s. After all their issues before I'm skeptical of their 6.7s, though I know people who absolutely love them.rabbiporkchop and Cabover9670 Thank this.

Pretty simple setup to fix. The thing is to find a competent mechanic these days period..... We swap them at my shop. As long as its done right... The body still not just looks as it did before the swap.... All the factory functions also work as they should. The motor upgrade is just a compliment to a chassis in need of a better oil burner!
Cabover9670 Thanks this. -
I didn't say it had to be a new Ram
Cabover9670 Thanks this. -
That sounds like the ultimate truck.Lite bug Thanks this.

There's not much difference between the 6.4 and the 6.0 except for slightly larger head bolts and larger displacement. Unfortunately the 6.4 doesn't have enough head bolts to keep that compression inside the cylinder.
The 6.7 was a huge Improvement with six head bolts per cylinder as opposed to 4 head bolts per cylinder with the 6.0 and 6.4. Unfortunately the 6.7 does come with additional emissions issues that could easily be resolved if you don't live in California.Lite bug Thanks this.
