You will never ever get a real response from him to this post. Just like the countless other times he has been challenged with real info. He will change topics and ignore your statement completely.

All I know is the quarries around here used to use their old 10 wheeler dumps to work the crusher and yard. And they have all gone to articulated cat or Volvo dumps.

There is a reason for this.....

P.S. the yards are all firm ground. And they use rock trucks (non articulated) to feed the ledge to the crusher.

One of our customers trucks in to get some new headlights on. Headlights have an amber halo turn signal. Front end is air ride with twin shocks per side. Shaved hood latches. Beautiful back end. Closets inside were changed to have twin 15" subs. Truck only works 2 months a year. If the images look funny, customers name has been blurred.

Nice looking pete. My only complaint is i prefer the air and electric to run out between the frame rails in the back instead of up through the deck plate. Makes for a cleaner look when hooked to a trailer. Bonus it gives me less things to trip over when getting chains out of my headache rack.

Spoke with a friend who drives facelifted Daf XF:
    - air compressor just failed (150 k km) = normal, just not covered under warranty
    - at 100k truck needed new gearbox
At Daf they told him that also cylinder heads and turbos fail a lot.

Truck has got less than 100k miles!!!

Ahh and Volvo doesn't have that?
    Volvo's parts are better?
    Really????

    Newsflash for you:
Daf and Volvo have the EXACT SAME compressor.
    Wabco.

The video of the ones I saw were two steer axles one lift and two drives. And it won’t turn as tight as a truck that folds in half.
