I have worked for Wylie for just over 2yrs now! It started out as a great place to work, but in my opinoin has went to hell lately. Trucks go 62, we are now on E-log, and there is no personal contact anymore. everything is the InTouch computer system If you don't type everything correctly it screws you on the reload. Nov,Dec. were really bad, and then it was ok till the last couple weeks 1100,1300miles If you go with them and are out of the Albertville Mn location Dave is great, but if you are out of the Fargo Term. Don is crap, never returns calls. I think the pay is good if you can get miles! I don't think that there are many FB companies getting consistant miles right now (jmo) I have 5 other drivers from the comp. that i talk to on a regulor basis and none of them are getting miles right now. I am finally getting out of here this week my buddy got me in to this other company, there were 90 other applicants ahead of me but I finally got in (friends are good) If there are any other ?s ask I'll tell

I just wish you would have got that info to me 1 day sooner(lol)as when I received it I was in Fargo waiting on my first day of orientation! It turns out you were right, but they did not offer me the info about the miles,-till I asked Dan when we were alone, same as the max speed of 62 mph,-till Richard told me,-again,when we were alone, and, through on top of that the fact I could only fuel at Flying Js,in tanks which are 80 gallons,(madness in itself)and after wondering on my last night at the motel if this could all work )mostly the 1000 - 1500 miles a wk- when they informed me I would have to take a bus all the way to Denver to pick up my truck,I decided this place and myself were not going to work......So,good luck to you and thanx for the info!!!!

Sorry bro, I seen the post was 5 days old when I made my post. I wish there were other FB companies to tell you to check out, But I don't know of any right now! I'm turning my truck in on Monday morning!
I start orientation with a reefer company at 9am soon as I drop my truck off, never done reefer but my friend gets 2500-4000miles every week.
P.S. I would of seen this post earlier, BUT THE NEW POST SECTION ONLY SHOWS THE LAST FEW HOURS!!

If you use the 'New Posts' link at the top of the page, it will show you everything that has been posted since you last logged on. It can run into many pages depending on how long it's been since you have been on last.

So, what are ya gonna do?It's their policy on the 62mph thing as well as the Flying j thing. Flying j's gonna be pilot soon so that'll open up more stops. The're trying to save money on the fuel. Sounds to me that you need to go work for an o/o with a few trucks who'll let you run 80 and no benefits and the ol well, money's short so i'll pay you next week.

Isnt that the corporation that bankrolls EW Wylie? Semms to me you are either in management,or a very dedicated,(although misguided)employee of Wylie.I am not going to get in a stupid debate with you,all I would say to anyone is-look at all the factual reports on Wylie, and make up your own mind...I am glad I said see ya to them!!! But,if your happy there,of course more power to you...God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!!!

I have benn a company driver at wylie for just over a year now and benn driving for 18 years(10 as an owner op) and anyone that has been in the FL game for even a year or 2 can tell you that flatbedding is a constuction dependent deal.If its heavy equip or matterial. We dry up a bit when construction is slow and we run like hell when thay are building.Nature of the buisness.I am out of the Fargo term and i can tell you this.If your not getting miles its not your dispatcher or the company. We picked up new customers because of the Arrow thing and i run out of hours most weeks. If you dont get the miles here its because your dispatcher doesnt believe thay can depend on you. That only happens because you are late to customers # or you dont take care of the product.I do ok here and i get home when i want to.Everyone likes to complain about there company and everyone knows its the same no matter who you drive for but with DOT makeing the rules and verry little profit margine in this industry the companys are makeing drivers do it legal. Can you blame them??If you dont like driveing to begine with you wont be happy no matter where you go so please,if you realy think this job sucks then quit so i can get those loads you hate so much.Flat bedding is not easy to do.Its hard dangeruse work and with winter setting in it get's worse with snow and ice building on the decks and tarps but it is challenging # phisical work and thats what i like.New challenges and sitting in a dock at a whse sucks so i keep rolling with the deck behind me instead of a van or fridge.Keep the road under you and the sky above ya. see ya on the road somewhere.......
