Sometimes there are no truck stops or rest areas. Parking on a street can get the police pounding on the cab to wake you up telling you to move along.
So I, for one, care about where I will sleep that night.
My next load has me delivering in Lancaster, CA at 1900. A live unload so I'll not get out of there until probably 2100 or later, as it is lumpers unloading.
I would have turned it down except there is a Walmart a few miles away that my RM GPS says is OK for night parking. It has been wrong before, so... who knows.
I care more for my own needs than what a shipper/receiver wants.
If both match up I'm good with it. But if I can not figure out a place to go to, I won't take it.

I will agree with you On it all but at times it’s hard to say no to a real good rate

Other thing I like about swift is that I have never been pressured to team drive, something I have no desire to do. I have read about other companies like u.s xpress forcing their drivers to go team option b resign.

How common are the new Volvo trucks? I saw a blue one the other day with the new Swift logo. Looked sharp.

Have already had happened to you being kept stuck driving in a certain region that you didn't enjoy, like what happened to @Moosetek13 months ago when they kept him stuck in the west coast when he wanted to do all 48?
