Melton for flatbed, Schneider for bulk, if you want a big company that will hire you.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
The real question to be asked is...............
At what speed did you trigger the camera to turn on? Western Express it was 70 MPH. If your speeding at 75, yeah I dont blame the company for turning on the camera. LOL -
Shopping for a new job, I think the first thing I would ask of a prospective new company, is do they own real trucks.. I have never seen any of them problems when a clutch and shifter was involved, well other than hard brakeing and hard shifting.

I don’t think much of these Eaton automatics. The best I could possibly rationalize. It is a mismatch for a 13 liter engine. It wants a 15 liter? Maybe?
Backing is awful. And no it never does learn me.
Volvo automatic is beautiful. It’s like playing a piano duet with a really great partner.
Eaton is like playing piano duet with a remedial player. Figuratively... at times I look over at it wondering what the heck it’s doing. It has its finger up its nose. Instead of on the keyboard.Gearjammin' Penguin, homeskillet and Truckermania Thank this. -
Every model year brings changes. A 2016 IS NOT a 2019.
I’m in a 2019 13L-Paccar with PACCAR-12 AMT. Sure wouldn’t trade it for a Volvo or an FL. Good drivetrain, wrong trucks. They were better and now they’re not.
It’s gotten funny to listen to the complainers. Show they’re not really up to the task of driving. Must be the chain-drive wallets.
You don’t respect the equipment, you ain’t much of a driver.
Get over being a new guy. A whole bunch of them are now smoother than you. Swift, CRE and JB.
Driver provides steering & braking. That’s about it. Minimize those by count, then by degree & duration, you’ll find out how bad you’ve been all along. The throttle never was your friend. You beat on it.
You never were very smooth.
I laid out a plan for you. Use it. (It works).
The truck is just smooth as hell. See if you can’t catch up to a different way of doing things. ###### thing is like driving a pickup. No effort.
(You don’t like WHAT I said, or HOW I said it, admit it’s true: IF you’ve NEVER driven a truck and have no points of comparison: How ya gonna get the job done?).

How much experience do you have OTR?
-
If I don’t babysit this system and get it going myself. Above is where it leaves me. You’re absolutely right! I need to get used to it! And used to unemployment. -
You’re blaming equipment malfunction or bad specification?
We have 200-tractors. Under 400k. They aren’t in the shop until well past 100k. Some never are.
The latest aren’t OOS at all.
Your company doesn’t know what it’s doing, then move on. Plenty of them don’t (DEF problems: too much motor).
This 13L does whatever it’s asked. Pulls a lot better than I expected. Just get out of its way.

Not bothering to argue.
