I just passed my skills test today, plus it’s my Birthday! I had to retake the skills after backing into the middle lane by accident during a right offset, lol. Now the whole class is set for the road portions.
Everyone likes our instructor, and all the other instructors seem professional. I just don’t know why they thought ordering the tire/rim lumping was appropriate. And I was the only student with his gloves handy out of the three of us who got tapped for the job, as I carry them everywhere.
Everybody at the garage looked like they couldn’t be bothered - outside the two instructors forklifting the tires and rims up to us. I’ll probably bring it up to the administrator after we graduate. Not to get anybody in hot water, but just as a note for the future.

I’ve unloaded a 53’ trailer full of tires in a hot Phoenix summer all by myself. You don’t need to go to a community college to learn how to do that.
My personal life rule is simple: If I pay, you work. If you pay then I work.
Let the administrators know that you didn’t pay good hard earned money to learn how to be a lumper. All that time you spent loading tires could have been better spent teaching you how to blind side into a dark alley.LateNightCable, buddyd157 and JohnBoy Thank this. -
It dont say that. It probably is a big deal, but it's just the way i choose to look at it. Certain things, while it may be a big deal, is water under the bridge for me. It's only 20 minutes or so. True enough, he may have gotten hurt. He didnt. So if I am the OP, I'll look past this and keep my eye on the prize

That's the ticket brother. They can't fire you, you're paying to be there, like Nancy Regan said "just say no".x1Heavy and austinmike Thank this.

I did that in Phoenix also. The receiver told me to roll them out the back of the trailer and let them hit the ground and they'd take it from there. Yes, it was hot that day, but it got the blood flowing and had me ready to hit the road.TankerP, LoSt_AgAiN and x1Heavy Thank this.
